Patent Litigation Associate with 2-5 Years Experience in District Court, PTAB; Degree in EE, ME, CS Preferred
Distinguished law firm with a notable presence in patent litigation is currently looking for an associate with 2-5 years to join their patent litigation team in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in court settings and experienced in taking depositions, with a preference for those who have actively done both. The candidate should be adept at directly communicating with clients and opposing counsel, thrive in creative thinking and teamwork, and be committed to playing a significant role in the strategic development of cases. The ideal candidate will have substantial patent litigation experience, including involvement in both U.S. District Court and Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings. Responsibilities include case analysis, factual and legal research, drafting pleadings, engaging in discovery related to infringement, validity, and damages, as well as preparing for and participating in pre-trial and trial activities. Preferred qualifications include an undergraduate or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or physics, and experience in the Intellectual Property department of a comparable law firm.
