Contracts Manager

Our client, a leading, local biotech company, seeks a skilled Contracts Manager to take ownership of its contracting function. This is a unique opportunity to be the sole Contracts Manager at a growing organization—supporting teams across the company and reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate customer, vendor, and operational agreements (e.g., purchase terms and conditions, customer questionnaires, NDAs, MTAs, material transfer, and license transfer agreements)
  • Maintain and improve contract tracking systems, templates, and renewal/terminations
  • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and proactively flag deadlines
  • Support customer service and project management teams using established policies and best practices
  • Generate contract status reports and updates to key stakeholders
  • Lead contract process improvements and take on special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
  • Paralegal Certificate or Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Relevant industry sector experience highly desired
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
