Our client, a leading, local biotech company, seeks a skilled Contracts Manager to take ownership of its contracting function. This is a unique opportunity to be the sole Contracts Manager at a growing organization—supporting teams across the company and reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate customer, vendor, and operational agreements (e.g., purchase terms and conditions, customer questionnaires, NDAs, MTAs, material transfer, and license transfer agreements)
- Maintain and improve contract tracking systems, templates, and renewal/terminations
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and proactively flag deadlines
- Support customer service and project management teams using established policies and best practices
- Generate contract status reports and updates to key stakeholders
- Lead contract process improvements and take on special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
- Paralegal Certificate or Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Relevant industry sector experience highly desired
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
