The Cordish Companies, a fourth-generation family-owned business and global leader in real estate and entertainment development, is seeking an accomplished real estate attorney to serve as Deputy General Counsel on its dynamic in-house legal team.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape transformative, high-profile projects—ranging from sports-anchored developments and mixed-use entertainment districts to public-private partnerships and complex joint ventures. You’ll provide strategic legal guidance on a wide range of real estate and business transactions, oversee internal and external legal teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.

What You’ll Do:

Lead legal negotiations for joint ventures, ground leases, development agreements, and financings
Provide expert legal counsel on real estate development, operations, and corporate matters
Supervise and mentor two attorneys
Coordinate litigation strategy and manage outside counsel as needed
Support executive decision-making with clear, business-minded legal advice

Profile Sought:

8+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience handling complex real estate and business transactions.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Experience advising executive leadership and managing internal legal teams.
Admitted to practice law in Maryland.
