We are assisting a preeminent national security practice with its search for a seasoned associate to focus on OFAC/Sanctions matters. Enjoy a diverse mix of work that includes (i) counseling/advising on various sanctions regimes (e.g., Russia, Cuba, Iran, Venezuela and Nicaragua), (ii) compliance reviews, (iii) investigations, (iv) communicating and interfacing with OFAC (e.g., self-disclosures and submissions), and (v) transactional advising. The ideal candidate will have deep subject matter expertise, the ability and desire to supervise more junior associates, and excellent writing skills.
Must have a minimum of three to five years of experience at a top firm; relevant government experience a plus. Cravath scale. Position in DC/NY.
