Prestigious international firm with thriving US-based health care practice has engaged Garrison on an exclusive basis to help deepen its managed care expertise within its highly regarded and Chambers-ranked healthcare practice. The firm has significant institutional healthcare clients, including relationships with numerous managed care organizations (both for-profit and not-for-profit), as well as Fortune 50 companies. This is an opportunity to be the “go to” associate for this new and emerging specialty, while having the benefit of being a part of a large and long-established practice that is national in scope. You will receive excellent mentoring and training from industry leaders who will have a vested interest in your success and growth.  Attorneys with relevant law firm, in-house and/or government experience are encouraged to apply.

Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:

  • Medicare Advantage
  • Medicare Part D
  • Medicare ACOs
  • Medicaid managed care
  • Affordable Care Act (and Exchange products)
  • Special Needs Plans
  • TRICARE
  • Federal Employee Healthcare Benefits Program.

To the extent that your practice is not managed care exclusively and consists of or overlaps with other areas within healthcare, such as transactions and/or investigations, that is almost to be expected and will mesh well with the firm’s overall healthcare platform. The healthcare practice is full-service and includes healthcare regulatory, transactional advising, Congressional advocacy, fraud and abuse, and litigations, investigations and enforcement.

Because the practice is national in scope, they are open to the new hire being located in any number of cities where the firm has offices (which we are happy to discuss), but the group has a strong presence in Washington, DC and several other major cities on both coasts and in the mid-west.  The firm has reasonable billable hours expectations (with credited pro bono), and is known for an especially collaborative firm culture.
