Exclusive Search: Associate General Counsel, Commercial Transactions – IT Services Industry Leader
We’ve been engaged on an exclusive basis to assist a longstanding and favorite client, a nationally recognized IT services business headquartered in Northern Virginia, in its search to hire an Associate General Counsel (“AGC”). This is a newly created position due to growth, and our client seeks an attorney with 5+ years of transactional experience. The company is rated a top place to work in the DMV (demonstrated by the 3 lawyers we’ve placed who have been there for 39 years collectively).
You will be responsible for your own portfolio of transactions and internal business clients and focus on drafting and negotiating agreements (e.g., technology and software licenses, MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, etc.), as well as assist the General Counsel with special projects. A general understanding of data privacy and protection laws would be a plus as is familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning issues.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling technology transactions; however, if you were trained as a corporate M&A associate but have gained experience with commercial/technology agreements for the past couple of years, our client is happy to consider you.
This is a hybrid (3 days a week in the office) position. Compensation includes a salary of $200K plus bonus and a 6% 401(k) contribution. Additionally, our client’s benefits package (including PTO) is among the best in Corporate America. **Local candidates only please.
