EXCLUSIVE Junior Technology Transactions Counsel Position with PBS (Now Fully Remote Option)

 

PBS, one of the country’s leading media organizations, has engaged Garrison on an exclusive basis to assist in its search for a Transactional Counsel with 3-5 yrs. of legal experience. The position will report to a Deputy General Counsel who our firm placed with the company 22 years ago. Join a dynamic and close-knit legal team and work on a variety of cutting-edge issues in a fast-paced, collegial, mission-driven organization.

 

You will support a range of internal clients, including Technology & Operations (which includes the Cybersecurity team), Human Resources, Finance, and Administration. Also, you will need to jump in and be the primary legal counsel to the organization’s Foundation. Primary responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements with vendors across the business, including IT, marketing, and software vendors; providing contracts training to internal clients; analyzing and negotiating agreements related to the ownership or licensing of intellectual property; managing the trademark portfolio; and providing guidance on commercial disputes. You also will assist the Deputy General Counsel on select high value/high risk special projects.

 

PBS offers a compensation and benefits package aligned with other large non-profit organizations. They are open to candidates who have been trained in a law firm or corporate legal department. Prior experience representing clients in the media, entertainment and/or non-profit industry sectors is highly valued.
