Premier National Security Practice Seeks CFIUS/Export Controls Associate (DC) (Exclusive)

 

Garrison & Sisson has been exclusively engaged to assist this Top 50 AmLaw Firm seeking a seasoned associate for its preeminent and full-service national security practice.  The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience with the regulatory and transactional issues presented by foreign direct investment (e.g., strategic planning, due diligence, deal structuring, preparation of CFIUS filings and the review process, and mitigation measures), along with the attendant ITAR and EAR regulatory regimes. Additional experience with OFAC/sanctions a plus. Law firm and government attorneys (with prior law firm experience) are encouraged to apply.

 

  • Role: Join a deep bench of partners, counsel and other associates in this long-established and dedicated national security practice group. You will be working with some of the firm’s most significant clients on matters that provide exposure to other partners and practice groups throughout this global firm. You will be highly visible within a gemstone practice of the firm.

 

  • Appeal: This is an excellent opportunity to hone your craft in CFIUS and export controls matters while still practicing in an elite and full-service national security practice group. The practice group includes several former high-ranking government officials. It also has a track record of internal promotion and focused DEI, mentorship, and training efforts.

 

  • Compensation/Hours: This firm pays top of the market (base/bonus) and averages 2,000 billable/credited hours.
